Disney fans who love a good villain story have something exciting to look forward to. Three Disney Villains titles are officially heading to WEBTOON, the free mobile-friendly comics platform, with confirmed series featuring Hades, Maleficent, and Ursula. Specific release dates have not been announced yet, but the series are confirmed and on the way.
The Disney Villains comic line actually got its start back in 2023 through publisher Dynamite Entertainment, beginning with a Scar series that dug into the Lion King villain’s story leading up to the events of the film. Since then the line has expanded to include Cruella de Vil and Gaston, and now three of the most iconic Disney villains of all time are getting their own spotlight. The move to WEBTOON means the comics will be free to read and formatted for vertical scrolling on your phone, which makes them really accessible for a new generation of fans.
This is part of a broader partnership between Disney and WEBTOON that was first announced in August 2025, which also brought Marvel and Star Wars titles to the platform. The collaboration even includes brand new original content through the Disney Cursed Love initiative, a series of romantasy stories inspired by classic Disney films. WEBTOON has been very clear that the goal is to reach younger, mobile-first comic fans, and bringing beloved Disney villains into the mix is a pretty smart way to do that.
