Walt Disney Imagineering is preparing to take fans beyond the horizon at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.D23 2026: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event – Live Blog Hub The new “Imagineering: Horizons” pavilion will offer an unprecedented look at projects under development across Disney Experiences, including new attractions, themed lands, Audio-Animatronics figures, ride vehicles, concept art, and massive scale models.

Designed as a continuation of the story introduced during the 2024 Horizons Showcase, the pavilion celebrates the extraordinary period of growth currently underway at Disney destinations around the world. Every Disney resort will be represented as Imagineers share a glimpse of the “great big, beautiful tomorrow” awaiting guests.
Enter Through the Promenade of Progress

The experience begins inside the Promenade of Progress, where guests will pass between a façade featuring concept art from active projects across Disney Experiences.
The entrance is designed to celebrate the progress, possibilities, and construction taking place throughout Disney’s global destinations.
At the heart of the promenade will be Center Stage, which is scheduled to host more than 30 Imagineer presentations during the D23 weekend.
The stage is inspired by the 1967 Tomorrowland Terrace Stage and has been playfully named the “Tom Morrow-land Terrace Stage.” Tom Morrow 2.0, the host of “Imagineer That!” on the Walt Disney Imagineering YouTube channel, will also make appearances.
From Center Stage, visitors can continue exploring new models, maquettes, concept art, and interactive displays revealing how Imagineers transform stories and ideas into immersive experiences.
Walt Disney World Projects
Several highly anticipated Walt Disney World projects will be represented inside the pavilion.
Carousel of Progress

The Carousel of Progress display will include two new costumes—one from the attraction’s 1960s scene and another from its Future scene.
Guests will also see two maquettes displayed at the same scale as those featured on “Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Disney.” A newly created attraction poster inspired by the original will complete the display.
Tropical Americas

The upcoming Tropical Americas area at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will receive a significant presence inside the pavilion.
Visitors will get a new look inside the upcoming Encanto attraction, including Audio-Animatronics figures planned for one of its scenes.
The display will also feature a model of the temple façade for the new Indiana Jones attraction. Four additional character sculpts will preview some of the friends guests will discover aboard the Tropical Americas carousel.
Piston Peak National Park

One of the pavilion’s largest displays will be dedicated to Piston Peak National Park, the new Cars-inspired area coming to Magic Kingdom.
A massive 19-by-19-foot model will provide a detailed look at the themed land. The model will also offer the first look at Piston Peak’s second attraction.
Guests can also take photos with a display featuring the land’s marquee and a Goat Cart.
Monstropolis

For Monstropolis, the Monsters, Inc.-inspired area coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Imagineers will present a mood board filled with sketches and design renderings.
The display will explore the creative inspiration behind the neighborhoods of Monstropolis. Painted maquettes featuring “monster-fied” versions of a pigeon, squirrel, and rabbit will add some playful character to the presentation.
Villains-Themed Land
Disney’s highly anticipated Villains-themed land will also be represented.
The pavilion will include two themed tree sculpts that provide an early glimpse at the atmosphere and visual language Imagineers are developing for this bold new area.
Super Hero Experiences Around the World
Marvel Super Hero fans will have several projects to explore inside “Imagineering: Horizons.”
A model of the Avengers Pavilion exterior will preview the new attraction coming to Hong Kong Disneyland.
Shanghai artists created a custom Spider-Man mural for one of the pavilion’s walls, celebrating the city’s artistic style and energy. A nearby monitor will show a time-lapse video documenting the mural’s creation.
The Avengers Campus expansion at Disney California Adventure will also be featured through a detailed model and a ride vehicle maquette for Stark Flight Lab.
Disneyland Resort Projects
The pavilion will preview two major additions being developed for the Disneyland Resort.
Coco Attraction

Fans will get another look at the Coco attraction planned for Disney California Adventure, including a new queue rendering and a sculpt of Héctor.
The display will also invite visitors to contribute a treasured Disneyland Resort memory involving someone they love. Guests can write their message or memory on a paper card, which will later be transformed into soil.
That soil will be incorporated into floral planters located at the entrance to the attraction’s queue, turning the submitted memories into a lasting part of the experience.
Avatar Destination
Disneyland Resort’s upcoming Avatar destination will be represented through a rockwork model and a ride vehicle model.
Together, the models will provide an early glimpse at the immersive environment and attraction experience being developed for Disney California Adventure.
Tokyo Disneyland Projects

Guests will get a closer look at two major projects coming to Tokyo Disneyland.
The first is Disney Parks’ first attraction inspired by the world of Wreck-It Ralph. Developed in collaboration with Walt Disney Animation Studios, the attraction will expand the colorful world of Sugar Rush with new locations and 12 original confectionery characters created exclusively for the experience.
Tokyo Disneyland’s reimagined Space Mountain will also be featured. Its display will include a model of the attraction’s new design, a ride vehicle maquette, and a scale model of the plaza’s new icon.
The Lion King at Disneyland Paris

Imagineers will provide a front-row look at the construction of The Lion King-themed area coming to Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris.
A black-light study model will preview what guests may experience aboard the land’s Lion King attraction. A ride vehicle maquette and scale model of Rafiki’s Tree will also be included.
Imagineering’s Largest Pavilion Ever
“Imagineering: Horizons” is the largest pavilion ever created by Walt Disney Imagineering.
More than 150 Imagineers will staff the pavilion over the course of D23, giving fans the opportunity to learn directly from some of the creative minds helping shape the future of Disney destinations.
