Feige has gone on record describing the series as a “half-hour legal comedy” that would be faithful to John Byrne’s take on She-Hulk in Marvel Comics. Dana Schwartz, Melissa Hunter, Cody Ziglar, Kara Brown, and Zeb Wells serve as writers on the series.
Filming for the series began in April 2021 in both Los Angeles and Atlanta, Georgia. At the time the show was filmed under the working title “Libra and Clover.” The series was expected to begin filming in July of 2020. Although, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the series was postponed.
“She-Hulk” centers on lawyer Jennifer Walters (Maslany), cousin of Bruce Banner, who inherits his Hulk powers after she receives a blood transfusion from him. Although, unlike Bruce, when she hulks out Jennifer is able to retain most of her personality, intelligence, and emotional control. In the show Walters works as a lawyer who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases.
Tatiana Maslany stars as Jennifer Walters, or as most know her, She-Hulk. Mark Ruffalo, Tim Roth, Ginger Gonzaga, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Jameela Jamil, and Benedict Wong also star in the series. For those familiar with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you may remember Mark Ruffalo portrays the character of the Hulk on the big screen in”The Hulk” standalone films and in the “Avengers” movies.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will premiere on August 17, 2022, and will consist of nine episodes. It will be part of Phase Four of the MCU.
