This is NOT an April Fools’ joke!! The Cool Kid Summer at Walt Disney World is getting cooler. For the first time since 2019, both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon at Walt Disney World will both be open beginning May 21st.
Beginning May 21st and going through September 7th, guests can dive into the tropical paradise of Typhoon Lagoon and enjoy the chilly thrills at Blizzard Beach. However, before the summer fun kicks off, Blizzard Beach, which is celebrating 30 years today, will take a short break for some maintenance from May 1 to May 20.
As Disney gears up for summer vacation season, families can look forward to even more water slides, lazy rivers, and exciting activities, along with a fantastic lineup of special offers, new shows, and limited-time entertainment at Disney World this summer!
Don’t Forget, 2025 Resort Guests Enjoy Free Water Park Access on Arrival Day
We announced some time back that guests checking into a Walt Disney World Resort will receive free water park access on arrival day! The Resort guests are already starting their stay with a splash with free water park admission on their arrival day in 2025… and this summer starting May 21, they’ll be able to choose which water park they want to enjoy: Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon!
Over the weekend, Walt Disney World announced the return of H20 Glow After Hours at Typhoon Lagoon! On select nights between May 23 and September 13, Typhoon Lagoon turns into an illuminated dance party full of splashy fun, complimentary snacks, and beloved Toy Story pals. Not to mention, nighttime fun means you can beat the heat and enjoy shorter wait times compared to daylight hours.
H2O Glow in 2025 is extra fin-tastic thanks to special deals for young families, including kids tickets for only $42.50, which is half the price of the $85 adult ticket this year! And for our Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members, the adults can also save.
Water you waiting for? H2O Glow tickets are on sale starting today, April 1, for guests of select Resort hotels! General tickets go on sale starting April 4.
