Meeting Maneet! eet by Maneet Chauhan, Disney Springs! Yesterday, I was offered a wonderful opportunity at Disney Springs! I was asked to attend a luncheon with Maneet Chauhan at her restaurant, Eet! Maneet is a famous chef who has been seen on television and has two cookbooks. She is featured as a judge on Chopped on the Food Network. She has appeared on The Next Iron Chef, The View on ABC, Iron Chef America, the Today show on NBC and as a judge on the finale of Worst Cooks in America on Food Network. She has also won the 2021 and 2024 Food Network competition Tournament of Champions. Impressive! Not only is Maneet a huge success, she’s also a very fun and inspiring person!
Disney Springs is celebrating Women’s History Month and are featuring female business owners. I was very happy to be asked to partake. Maneet was very hands on, showing and explaining each menu item herself. She’s very enthusiastic and a joy to be around! Here are a few of the dishes she presented!
Chef Maneet is very passionate about creating the food she grew up on and sharing these creations with others. She was talking about Indian street food and how it’s something that all should experience. In our conversation, she explained how Disney approached her about opening a restaurant at the Springs and how much it was a dream come true. Not just because she loves Disney, but because she knew that her recipes could be shared by visitors from around the world.
As a female business owner myself, I asked her what advice she has for other women out there looking to reach their goals and dreams. Her answer was pretty simple… work your butt off and keep going no matter how many times you get knocked down. I love that. Also, she encourages young women to start a savings account as early as possible and add to it weekly, because it adds up fast and can be quite beneficial when you’re older. I agree! Her personality and positive outlook is so inspiring and infectious. I’m so grateful for the opportunity, she’s fantastic. Speaking of fantastic, if you haven’t been to eet by Maneet at Disney Springs, give it a go! I have a new appreciation for that place now, after seeing how much heart has gone into their menu, it’s definitely a must do!
