This past week we were invited by Disney Cruise Line to a media sailing on the new ship, Disney Treasure. The Treasure is the sister ship to the Disney Wish, but with much different theming. One of the spaces that I was most looking forward to seeing is the Haunted Mansion Parlor. This lounge is an exciting extension of everything that we’ve always loved about the Haunted Mansion, but a place to actually sit and enjoy.
The aesthetic of the Haunted Mansion Parlor is a Haunted Mansion enthusiast’s dream! Spooky furniture, a fish tank with skeleton fish swimming inside, fireplace, the Donald Duck chair and more!
The Haunted Mansion Parlor has exclusive themed drinks and souvenir glasses. The specialty Drinks are very spooky in nature and they have two collectors edition mugs for you to take home, the captain and the siren. Those are $50 and $60 but come with a drink.
One drink in particular is more like a presentation. Your server will bring you the drink in a wooden box and shine a black light on it so you can see ghosts materialize. You also get a souvenir death certificate to take home. If you are not interested in alcoholic drinks, they also have four different sodas that have a sparkly swirl to them in Haunted Mansion themed bottles. Those are pretty cool! See video below!
Every 10 minutes or so, the parlor changes themes to some of your favorite things about the Haunted Mansion! The sequences range from Grim Grinning Ghosts, Madame Leota, Constance Hatchaway and more. The ghostly mirror behind the bar also comes to life during some of these sequences for added effect, it was my favorite part!
Honestly, all the photos in the world simply would not do this lounge any justice. It has to be seen to fully understand how amazing this space is. As a lifelong Haunted Mansion fan, It lived up to every expectation that I could’ve had and beyond. Regions beyond! As you leave the parlor, there’s a mirror outside the door where Little Leota becomes present to remind you to hurry back. It’s amazing.
The Disney Treasure itself is so well done, with theme park nods throughout. If you plan to sail on the Treasure, definitely put the Haunted Mansion Parlor on your to do list! You’re going to love it.
