Jollywood Nights – Sugar Cookie Martini Recipe

Jollywood Nights – Sugar Cookie Martini Recipe

Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios kicked off on Saturday. This separate ticket party is on select nights throughout the holiday season and is a great time. This is only the second year for this festive Christmas event, and it’s even better now. One thing that stuck in my mind from last year, was this fun drink that I tried, the Sugar Cookie Martini. When I was planning to attend this year, I was hoping that the Studios would offer it again… and they did!

The Sugar Cookie Martini is spectacular and is only available during Jollywood Nights. It honestly tastes like a cookie but of course with a kick! This drink also comes with a sugar cookie biscotti on top which is great for dipping. Being that this delicious martini is a very limited offer, I was hoping that I could make them at home. A friend sent me a copycat recipe that I plan to use, and wanted to share with you!

Sugar Cookie Martini
Makes 1 cocktail

Ingredients:
1 ounce vanilla vodka
1 ounce Baileys Irish Cream
1 ounce Disaronno
½ ounce milk
Whipped cream or frosting (optional)
Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions:
If you’d like, rim a chilled glass with frosting or whipped cream and sprinkles.
To a cocktail shaker with ice, add vanilla vodka, Irish cream, Disaronno, and milk. Shake until combined and chilled. Strain into prepared glass and serve.

As for the cookie on top, I couldn’t find a recipe for that. My guess is that any type of sugar cookie would do. This martini is so good that you really don’t need it at all! Here’s a cookie recipe just in case you want to try it!

Here’s what you’ll need:

Flour
Butter
Sugar
Eggs
Baking soda
Baking powder
Vanilla extract (and almond extract, optional)

Step 1: Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.

Step 2: Add the egg, vanilla and almond extract, mixing to combine well.

Step 3: Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt together in a medium bowl.

Step 4: Add the dry ingredients to the egg and butter mixture and combine until just incorporated. Do not over mix!

Step 5: Scoop the cookie dough into 2-ounce portions. Roll the dough into a ball using your hands and then roll each ball in a small bowl of granulated sugar. Set the cookie dough balls on a parchment lined baking sheet and chill for 30 minutes.

Step 6: While the dough chills, preheat the oven to 350°F. When the dough is chilled, transfer 6 cookies to a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 11 to 12 minutes. The edges should be set but the centers should look puffy and crackled. Do not over bake.

Step 7: Remove the cookies from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes. The cookies will be super soft fresh from the oven so allow time for them to cool in order to develop moist, chewy centers. Repeat with the remaining cookie dough balls. It all sounds pretty amazing, doesn’t it? As for Jollywood Nights, I tried a few of the cocktails that they have to offer. Hands down, the Sugar Cookie Martini is the best. It’s a larger size and is only 11 dollars. The other drinks are around 9 dollars and are so small, no cookie either. If you want to get the most bang for your buck, I highly recommend it! I know I’ll be trying them this holiday season, will you?
