When I first heard about DreamWorks Land, a million thoughts came to me at once: Trollercoaster is the best ride name ever. The troll-shaped ice cream at Trolls Treats sounds hysterical and delicious. It’s about time Puss in Boots got his due! And I will 100 percent be jumping around on the musical lily pads in King Harold’s Swamp Symphony and banging on the interactive gong in Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp with all the small children.
Now, in the midst of all that riding, jumping, gonging and ice cream-ing (definitely a word), you’re troll-tally going to want to Shrek out some merch featuring some of your favorites from “Shrek,” “Kung Fu Panda” and “Trolls.” Skadoosh!
What to Buy
Apparel & Accessories
I have way too many T-shirts, and yet I always find room for one or three more. That “Powered By Dumplings” one has my name on it (figuratively, not literally; “Louise” is never on anything). And it’s the perfect shirt to practice your Kung Fu moves in before you meet the famous dragon warrior on a digital screen at Po Live!
If you’re into ‘90s throwback fashion, you’re gonna want to call dibs on the Shrek and Fiona scrunchies and Po fanny pack. Speaking of 90s nostalgia, Trolls Treats, one of the snack places in DreamWorks Land, is shaped like a giant boombox. Can you believe people used to carry them around on their shoulders in public blasting music on them? IYKYK!
You can also rock headbands with ogre ears, Gingy the gingerbread man, Trolls hair, little Po heads (no, really) and even cat ears a la “Gabby’s Dollhouse” — though probably not all at the same time. If you want to keep the sun at bay, try a Trolls bucket hat or a baseball cap with little Shrek or Po ears.
If you’re looking for footwear, try out the pool shoes! They’re perfect for splashing around in Shrek’s Swamp for Little Ogres and come in a variety of colors. And while you’re at it, you can pick out long-sleeved T-shirts and shorts with Poppy and Viva or BroZone, along with tank tops, key chains and more.
My pick:
As a cat-lover, I was immediately drawn to the trio of cat ear headbands from the feline-filled “Gabby’s Dollhouse.” (Toddler Louise would have been obsessed with this show.) If I had to pick one, it would be Kitty Fairy, since I love gardening. Reminder: You are never too old to wear cat ears.
Toys
When I was a kid, I had so many plush toys on my bed, you couldn’t see my comforter. If you’re also a stuffed animal fan, there’s a whole bed’s-worth to choose from here. A huggable baby Po, plus another with him holding his beloved dumplings. Colorful Poppy, Branch, Viva and Tiny Diamond. Lovable Shrek and Donkey in both large and small, as well as Fiona, Puss in Boots and Gingy. Plus, super cute cat plushies from“Gabby’s Dollhouse.”
My pick:
Not only was “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish” hands-down my favorite movie of 2022, but I have two wide-eyed, adorably manipulative kitties of my own. Naturally, I couldn’t resist adopting Puss in Boots in plush toy form. Hopefully, my cats won’t get too jealous. If you’re also a Puss in Boots fan, you’re gonna want to check out Mama Luna Feline Fiesta, where you can play with cats on a digital screen and even say hello to the infamous feline.
Collectibles
Pin and magnet collectors, rejoice! There are so many fun ones to choose from, including a Shrek, Fiona and Donkey set, another featuring Poppy, Shrek and Po, and even fun-shaped Poppy and Branch magnets. Why not get them all?
The “What the Shrek?” pin and matching shirt made me laugh; I can’t resist a good play on words. I bet Shrek would get a kick out of you wearing those to Shrek’s Swamp Meet, where you can say hello to him, Fiona and Donkey.
You can also channel your inner architect with a set of building blocks to create your own Gabby’s Dollhouse with eight rooms and a sliding elevator. Plus, future (and current) bakers will love Bakey with Cakey Fun, a themed bakery with a mixer, baking ingredients and a rainbow of toppings. As a kid, I was a big fan of dollhouses and baking, so these both would’ve been right up my alley.
My pick:
My dollhouse-playing days may be behind me, but the Gabby’s Dollhouse building blocks kit is my inner child’s dream. For starters, the house is topped with a cat head, and what’s not to love about that? Then there are the eight themed rooms, including an art room with a palette and paint brush, music room with a guitar and saxophone, kitchen with a cupcake and fruit, and even a rooftop dance floor. Kids can play with four beloved characters from the show: Gabby, Pandy Paws, Cakey and MerCat.
Home Goods
I am all about staying well-hydrated, especially in Florida. Luckily, DreamWorks Land sells reusable water bottles to beat the heat, bottles of water and soft drinks to quench your thirst, and a bottle holder with a strap for ease. Why not pair your drink with a Shrekzel, aka Shrek-shaped pretzel, from Swamp Snacks? Shrekzel is fun to say and even more fun to eat!
While you’re here, you can also shop for tumblers with twisty straws, which always make everything taste better. And if you happen to be craving a hot beverage, you can find DreamWorks-inspired mugs here as well. On top of that, there are hooded towels to dry off with after you get soaked in Poppy’s Playground, cooling towels to beat the heat and backpacks to carry all your fun new merch.
My pick:
I recommend getting the Trolls backpack to shlep all your fantast-amazing merch in style, and I’d throw in the matching reusable water bottle to complete the look.

Named after the high-five-loving Cloud Guy from “Trolls,” High Five Hideaway has all the DreamWorks souvenirs you could dream of, including all the awesome stuff I mentioned above and then some.
