Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review

50 Years of Fun! By Sarah Cooley

“Hoop Dee Doo, Hoop Dee Doo!” Everyone sing along!

The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review takes place in Pioneer Hall at the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. If you drive to the campground from another resort, you will park at the front and take the internal bus. If you come on the boat, it is right at the end of the path from the lake. It can take a little bit to get there, so make sure you allow plenty of time.

This show includes an all you care to enjoy dinner of fried chicken and ribs. There are also scrumptious sides like salad, mashed potatoes, corn bread, and more. To drink, you’ll have your choice of milk, tea, Coke products and Joffrey’s coffee. Adults who want an alcoholic drink are in luck, too. The price includes select beer, wines, and red and white sangrias. The star of the show is the dessert, though. They serve some of the best strawberry shortcake you’ll ever taste! These items could change from time to time, so consulting the menu online is good idea. They can also accommodate allergy needs, just let them know when you make your reservation.

Once the food has arrived, it’s time for the fun to begin! The Pioneer Hall Players consist of six performers that will sing, dance, and act their way through a ninety-minute show. There is so much going on that the whole family will be laughing, singing, and clapping along. A few lucky audience members will even be asked to join them on stage.

The Hoop Dee Doo is performed several times night Wednesday through Sunday.  has different categories for pricing/seating. It can run from $66-#74 for adults and $39-$44 for kids under ten. You can book reservations through the Disney website.  I have been there several times in different categories and there’s not a bad seat in the house!

Next time you visit Walt Disney World, you should check out this dining experience. There is a reason it has been around for as long as it has.

2024 marks the 50th year of this fabulous show! Happy 50th birthday Hoop Dee Doo, and here’s to many, many more!
