While our visit to Walt Disney World’s Boardwalk was just a day shy of the gingerbread house displays at the resorts, we were treated to an exciting sneak peek of the ongoing construction at this soon-to-be-open culinary gem.
Gwendolyn Rogers, a self-taught baker with a deep passion for Disney and, of course, delectable cakes, is the visionary behind this delightful establishment. As you stroll by this enchanting spot, you’ll catch a tantalizing glimpse of the delectable dishes that await, with both quick service and table service options on the menu.
Housed in what was formerly the ESPN Zone, The Cake Bake Shop boasts enormous windows that promise captivating views while you dine. At the pinnacle of the structure, an octagon has been preserved, but it’s no longer just plain walls; it now welcomes in natural light with beautiful windows all around. The installation of metal roofing is underway, and the interior, once the bar area, has been completely transformed, is ready to showcase an array of cake-filled display cases.
Upon its grand opening, this charming spot will feature a menu teeming with both savory and sweet delights for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Moreover, patrons can relish an elegant afternoon tea service for a touch of sophistication.
