U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Fly Over Walt Disney World Resort. National Veterans and Military Families Month begins with a thrilling Thunderbirds flyover at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot on October 30th, setting an exciting tone for the month ahead. We were at Disney’s Magic Kingdom yesterday to witness the flyover and got some fantastic images to share.
The Thunderbirds perform for people all around the world to display the pride, precision, and professionalism the U.S. Air Force represents. Through air shows and flyovers, they aim to excite and inspire. In addition to showcasing the elite skills all pilots must possess, the Thunderbirds demonstrate the incredible capabilities of the Air Force’s premier multi-role fighter jet, the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

As part of Disney’s enduring respect for those who serve in the military and their families, this morning Walt Disney World Resort hosted the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds flight demonstration team for a flyover of Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT. The event marks the arrival of National Veterans and Military Families Month in November. The Thunderbirds showcased their capabilities with a first-time flyover of two Walt Disney World theme parks. A second pass over Magic Kingdom featured their famous delta maneuver. The jets accelerated rapidly over Cinderella Castle in different directions giving the appearance of a fireworks display.
The timing of this flight was ideal as Disney marks its 100th anniversary and the Thunderbirds celebrate 70 years of inspiring the next generation of patriotism. This special flyover is the latest example of Walt Disney World Resort’s long tradition of celebrating members of the United States military.”
The officers and enlisted Airmen who make up the Thunderbirds embody professionalism and skill. Eight officers serve as our highly experienced pilots, and four serve in critical roles from medical support to public affairs. The more than 120 enlisted members represent nearly 30 different career fields and serve as the backbone of our team, ensuring all jets and operations are in top shape at all times.
