You can now wake up in the same bedroom as the great Walt Disney did many years ago as the storybook mansion he once lived in with his family is now available for rent by Chase Campen at Compass!

The mansion, located in Los Feliz, California, is now available to lease for $40,000 per month. According to People, this same home is where Disney and his wife Lillian raised their two children.

Disney lived with his family in the home from 1932 until 1950 and features architecture and find details that look as if they came out of one of Disney’s famous animated films. In fact, some of the details are said to have inspired some of his most famous characters, including Snow White, Marry Poppins, and Winnie the Pooh.

The four-bedroom, five-bedroom home features a two-story living room and home theater and plenty of historical memories of the incredible company we all love today.

Disney is reported to have watched dailies from his productions in the home theater. His time at the mansion is coincided with the boom of Walt Disney Studios. Iconic films such as “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Pinocchio,” “Dumbo,” and “Bambi” were made while Disney lived in the house.

Other features include stunning walkways, a pool, a trellis-covered dining area, and a 10-car garage. Additionally, the home also features vaulted beamed ceilings, wood paneled walls, a brick fireplace, and the original leaded windows with a view of the Los Angeles skyline. Not to mention a Snow White-themed playhouse that Walt famously built for his daughters.

According to People, the current owner is Timur Bekmambetov, a Kazakhstan-born filmmaker who purchased the home in 2011. He told The Hollywood Reporter in 2016 that Disney was “a visionary man” and that he “invented a whole world.” The outlet also reported that Bekmambetov filled the home with sketches of Disney characters and many Mickey Mouse figurines.
