Scarlett Johansson has had a shaky past with The Walt Disney Company in the past few years. However, she recently revealed in a new interview with Variety that she’s still a die hard Disney Parks fan and actually visits Walt Disney World at least 10 times a year.
Many remember the major lawsuit brought on by Scarlett Johansson against The Walt Disney Company in 2021 for breach of contract regarding her pay for “Black Widow.” The star brought the lawsuit forward after the film was released simultaneously to a pay per view format on Disney+ and in theaters.
The suit was later settled outside of court for an undisclosed amount. Although, at the time, it made many question Johansson’s future with the company.
Regardless of this experience, Johansson said in a recent interview with Variety that she’s still someone who “geeks out” when speaking about Disney movies.
“We had annual passes to Disney World, and I have a real passion for the Disney parks,” Johansson said to Variety, adding that the obsession with Disney began when her family lived in Florida for two years when she was younger.
She went on to share that when she was growing up, “it was a great time for Disney animation — ‘The Little Mermaid’ and ‘Aladdin’ and ‘Lion King’ with the incredible soundtrack. Like, I will be pre-buying tickets to ‘The Little Mermaid.’”
“I actually need to text my sister about that,” she added.
The star even said her dream job is to have a “corner office” on the Disney studio lot when she appeared on Bruce Bozzi’s “Table for Two” podcast in 2022.
