We all first met Chris Pratt when he played the prankster Andy Dwyer on the NBC sitcom “Parks and Recreation.” Well, on a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the actor got the chance to return to his comedic roots by pranking guests to Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout ride at Disney California Adventure Park at the Disneyland Resort.
“Guardians of the Galaxy 3” is only days away from its premiere, and in promotion of its release, Pratt visited Jimmy Kimmel Live! where the star took on the form of a hologram to surprise theme park guests!
As part of the prank, Pratt was placed in front of a white screen background, which allowed him to be placed into the exit queue of the Guardians ride via Proto hologram technology. As explained by Kimmel, this allowed Pratt to interact with fans coming off the ride, allowing them to ask questions and interact with the star in a way that seemed to be computer generated. To the surprise of guests, it was the real Chris Pratt they got to chat with!
For those not familiar with Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout, the ride takes guests on a thrilling mission with Rocket to rescue the Guardians of the Galaxy from the Collector’s fortress.
Below is the official synopsis of the ride from the Disneyland Resort website:
