This Labor Day weekend at Disney Springs, Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their boutique music festival, the Great Irish Hooley. What does “Hooley” mean, you may ask? It’s a Gaelic term for a lively party with music, entertainment and fun for the whole family. From September 2-5, join in the fun while you dance and sing along to traditional Irish tunes, Celt grass, folk, and blues performed by Irish bands – and enjoy some classic Irish fare of course.
Taking the stage will be a first-rate lineup from the Irish music world that are guaranteed to get your toes tapping:
- Téada – This leading Irish traditional band will headline the Hooley lineup. Dubbed “invigorating” by the Washington Post, the band just released their sixth album.
- One for the Foxes – Exciting new transatlantic group merging backgrounds in Irish and American folk music for an eclectic vibe.
- Celtic Croí (Heart) – Talented trio from Dublin, Belfast, and Glasgow pump up the Hooley volume.
- Gobhán – Dynamic duo from County Down, Ireland, playing guitar, fiddle and vocals.
And of course, it’s not an Irish party without a taste of the Emerald Isle. Whether you have a hankering for their famous Fish & Chips or are looking to find a new favorite like the Chicken Donut or the Bacon and Cabbage Roll, you’re in for a real treat. The pub will also feature new whiskeys and a special Hooley brew, the De Fesht, that brings an Oktoberfest-like spirit to the late-summer festivities. In addition to the all-day menu, the Rollicking Raglan Brunch will be served throughout the weekend, including Labor Day Monday, September 5 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
But that’s not all! Be sure to bring your dancing shoes, because the ever-popular Raglan Road Irish Dancers will teach guests a dance step or two to try out at your table. Complimentary Celtic face painting rounds out the event offerings.
There is no cover charge, and reservations are recommended. Reservations can be made through the My Disney Experience app or by calling 407-938-0300. The high-energy fun begins Friday afternoon on September 2 and continues into the night on Monday, September 5. Get ready to kick up your Hooley heels, we’ll see you there!
