Disneyland Announces Higher Priced Magic Key Annual Passes

Disneyland just rolled out new availability and price increases for its five-year-old Magic Key annual pass offering with its highest tier priced at $1599 a person.

The highest tier priced pass is the newest and goes by the name of Inspire. The lowest priced pass is the Imagine Key, which is for Southern California residents only. As part of this change, the old top-tier, Dream Key, which was $1399, is now no longer available.

We’d like to mention pretty early in this post that these passes are not currently available to those looking to pick up an annual pass. These are only available to those who already hold a Magic Key pass and are looking to renew.

“There are no new Magic Key sales currently available while we prioritize renewals for our current Magic Key holders,” reads the statement.

Upon looking at the prices, it seems each pass received a minimum of roughly a $50 increase, with the exception of the Believe pass, which increased $150.

Passes will become available under this new pricing structure beginning August 18.

Inspire $1599 (new)
Believe $1099 (was $949)
Enchant $699 (was $649)
Imagine $449 (was $399)

Upon reading further into the fine print of the passes, it seems none of them allow entry into the Disneyland resort parks around the holidays.

The Inspire and Believe Key passes (two highest tiers) allow pass holders to hold up to 6 park reservations at one time. With Inspire, pass holders get parking included at select lots. However, the Believe Key pass only offers 50% off standard parking at select lots. It’s worth noting that these deals on parking are only available on dates the passes are active and not on blackout dates.

A new offering that seems to come to all four of the passes is 20% off Disney Genie+ service when purchased the day of your visit after entering a park using your pass. Inspire and Believe also offer the new perk of unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital downloads, which they say is “coming soon.”
