Starting today, guests visiting Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure park may see a plaque honoring the 100 years of the legacy of Stan Lee as they enter the land. A legacy that has inspired generations of fans to find their inner hero. Stan Lee was one of the most prolific and legendary comic creators of all time, so it’s fitting to honor him in Avengers Campus – a land dedicated to the next generation of Super Heroes.
The
plaque reads:
We dedicate Avengers Campus to the incomparable Stan Lee.
“That person who helps others simply because it should or must be done, and because it is the right thing to do, is indeed without a doubt a real superhero.”
Thank you, Stan, for inspiring the hero within each of us. You have made us all True Believers.
From taking us to new heights with Spider-Man to showing us that you don’t need powers to save the world with Black Widow, while also making us realize that intelligence could be our strongest superpower in Iron Man; from introducing us to new dimensions with Doctor Strange and giving us a new view of the world and our power through Black Panther; plus, an evolving universe of many more beloved Super Heroes in which we could see ourselves, Stan Lee accomplished exactly that.
