Disney Pin Collecting Part 1-A Fun Rabbit Hole to Fall Down!

Are you looking for a new collection to feed your Disney obsession? Something small and compact and totally personal?

You should try collecting Disney pins!

Disney has offered pins since its beginning, but pin collecting and trading really ramped up in October 1999 with the Millennium Celebration. Since then it has become very popular among Disney fans everywhere. The fun part is you can go as crazy as you want to with it. Buy 1 special pin or collect everything, it’s totally up to you!

You can buy Disney pins all over Disney property or on Shop Disney if you aren’t near a park. They can be found for any character, movie, park, attraction, event, you name it! They are available in a variety of price ranges to fit various budgets.

Part of the fun is deciding which ones to collect! If you’re like me, you’ll probably have trouble narrowing it down.

Some of my favorite collections are:
-Music themed.

-Resorts I’ve stayed at.

-Special events I’ve attended. (Hoop Dee Doo Revue, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, Epcot Flower and Garden Festival, etc.)

-Yellow pins. (My favorite color.)

-Mike and Sulley.

-Minnie Mouse. (My Disney mascot for 2021.)

I encourage you to be creative with your collections and really make them your own.

How do you get started?

If you are ready to get started on this pin journey but feeling a little overwhelmed with all of the possibilities, have no fear. You can start slow.

My suggestion is to get a pin or two of your favorite Disney character.

Another easy way to start is on your next trip to Disney, pick up the pin for the resort you stay at.

Each pin will become very special to you and attached to special memories.

Fair warning though, pin trading is quite the rabbit hole to fall down. The good news is there is something for everyone!
