We have extremely sad news to report today. Disney Legend and beloved actress Betty White has passed away at the age of 99, just weeks short of her 100th birthday. She was planning a huge celebration for her milestone birthday, as People Magazine just released an issue with Betty on the cover. TMZ reported that she passed at her home this morning according to law enforcement. Her agent, Jeff Witjas told People Magazine that he will miss her terribly, and so will the animal world that she loved so much.

Sue Ann Nivens
on the CBS sitcom- The Mary Tyler Moore Show
from 1973 to 1977,
Rose Nylund
(her most notable Disney contribution) on the ABC Studios sitcom The Golden Girls from 1985 to 1992 and starred as Elka Ostrovsky on the
TV Land
sitcom – Hot in Cleveland from 2010 to 2015.
For Disney, she voiced Mrs. Claus in the 2010 ABC short film, Operation: Secret Santa and the old lady in the Mickey Mouse episode “New York Weenie”.
She also played Grandma Annie “Gammy” in the 2009 Touchstone Pictures film, The Proposal. In that same year, she was named a Disney Legend, along with her Golden Girls co-stars Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan, and Estelle Getty. All of their plaques are presented together on the same post at the Team ― Disney Michael D. Eisner Building. She also voiced Yoshie in the English dub version of Studio Ghibli’s Ponyo and played Grandma Bunny in the 2010 Touchstone Pictures film, You Again. She was mentioned in the Jessie episode Katch Kipling. More recently, she had a recurring role in Freeform’s sitcom Young & Hungry as Ms. Bernice Wilson, Gabi and Sofia’s neighbour. In addition, she appeared as herself in Holy Man, and played Mrs. Kline in Bringing Down the House. She even voiced Hestia in Hercules, and Round in Whispers: An Elephant’s Tale.
She appeared in Toy Story 4 as the voice of Bitey White.
In 2012 NBC aired a special to her for her 90th birthday entitled Betty White’s 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America’s Golden Girl.
