Since 1959, the Dapper Dans have been making musical magic on Main Street, U.S.A., and today, they’re back!
“It’s amazing to be reunited with friends and music makers,” said Dapper Dan Jason Guffey. “It’s a family and we’re all very close because it’s been
many years of singing together.”
After nearly a year-and-a-half absence due to the parks’ closure, the Dapper Dans are returning just in time to help herald in Halloween Time, adding some spooky songs to their repertoire.
“Halloween is definitely one of my favorite times of the year on Main Street,” said Dapper Dan Wesley Alfvin. “’Grim Grinning Ghosts’ is one of my
favorite songs to sing because it has such a wonderful history here at the park with Haunted Mansion and Thurl Ravenscroft.” (Foolish mortals, Thurl Ravenscroft can be heard as one of the original Grim Grinning Ghosts singers over at the Haunted Mansion!) “I’ve always felt personally honored to step into his shoes a bit and sing the bass in the song.”
Next time you’re walking down Main Street, U.S.A., keep an eye out for those pinstripe suits and
listen to the Dapper Dans’ wonderful performances once again!
