You can feel it in the air! On September 3, fall favorites will return to the Disneyland Resort! It’s one of the most magical times to visit – Halloween Time casts a festive glow, delicious treats of the season just beg to be sampled and enchanting family memories are waiting to be made. Plus, there’s so much to discover — from classic attractions to new adventures in Avengers Campus.
As you make your plans for visiting the Disneyland Resort this fall season, keep these highlights at the top of your list!
Halloween Time
Once again, guests who visit Disneyland park will be greeted by pumpkins big and small while Oogie Boogie from “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” lurks high above on the gates of Disney California Adventure park.
Haunted Mansion Holiday in Disneyland park marks its 20th presentation this year. A visit to the eerie estate is a must for all holiday habitués! In addition, “Halloween Screams” – the supernatural projection and special effects show – will be presented every night from Sept. 3- Oct. 31. On weekend nights, “Halloween Screams” will take to the skies and enhance the mischief with fireworks.*
Over in Disney California Adventure park, the residents of Radiator Springs have transformed their Cars Land neighborhood into the not-so-scary Radiator Screams. Be on the lookout for your favorite cars, wearing their car-stumes and enjoy family-friendly size thrills like the transformed Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.
Plaza de La Familia
Also at Disney California Adventure park, celebrate the return of Plaza de la Familia with its colorful décor, festive foods and vibrant music, all themed to honor the everlasting bonds of family. Take a photo with the hand-animated figure of Miguel, from Disney and Pixar’s “Coco” and visit The World of Coco, an evocative art exhibit.
Avengers Campus
Over at the newly opened Avengers Campus, join up with your favorite Super Heroes to create your own adventure! Explore an Ancient Sanctum to learn the ways of the mystic arts, swing webs like Spidey aboard WEB Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure and treat yourself to some inventive-sized foods at Pym’s Test Kitchen. In honor of the season, get in on some serious chills at Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark, an exciting Halloween adventure filled with creepy creatures and gravity-defying drops.
Live Entertainment
Friday, Sept. 3, also marks the return of the beloved barbershop quartet and Main Street, U.S.A. staple – the Dapper Dans. Catch them in action and you may hear refrains of a spooky song or two, keeping with the spirit of the season!
In the Downtown Disney District, the fall breezes have a distinctly tropical air, with performances by several live bands, including Tupua, a Polynesian Revue; Island Reggae, a five-piece band; and Catch A Wave, a Beach Boys tribute band.
