July 28, 2021

Orlando, Fl-
Orange County Mayor, Jerry Demings, has declared a local state of emergency with an executive order due to rising COVID-19 cases.

During his press conference that is concluding now, Demings strongly urged all residents and visitors to wear masks indoors, regardless of whether they are fully vaccinated or not. When asked specifically about the local theme parks, he said he does indeed expect Disney, Universal and SeaWorld to enact mandates requiring face masks indoors. In addition to face masks, mayor Demings also stated that employers should insist on all employees getting the vaccine.

At this time, there’s no word on updated mask policies coming to Walt Disney World or Universal Orlando, nothing has been released. Stay tuned for updates as we hear, as this is a developing story.
