Yesterday, the folks at D23 revealed more information about the upcoming event, Destination D23, at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
The weekend long production, which will be held Nov. 19-21, will include a number of presentations and experiences, including an update on Disney park projects and a 50th anniversary exhibit.
Disney CEO Chapek will kick off the magical festivities with a welcome presentation, while Disney Parks chairman Josh D’Amaro will share updates about upcoming Disney projects during a Parks, Experiences and Products presentation called “What’s New and What’s Next.” That’s always exciting to hear!
The event will also feature a special exhibit from the Walt Disney Archives called “50 Years of Bringing Home the Magic,” which will cover decades of Disney World merchandise—from figurines to pins and plushes.
In addition, there also will be performances from Michael James Scott (Genie in Disney on Broadway’s “Aladdin”) and Disney acapella group DCappella.
Other presentations include “Musical Memories of Walt Disney World,” a journey through Disney World melodies with Walt Disney Imagineering; as well as “Weird Disney World,” a look at some of the resort’s “wildest and wackiest” moments.
More presenters and presentations are expected to be announced soon, so stay tuned for more updates! Tickets for Destination D23 will go on sale July 29 for D23 Gold Members.
I’m super excited for this magical event! Are you planning to attend? More information can be found at www.d23.com!
