Emoji Blitz turns 5 this month!
The fast-paced, match-3 game blitzed its way into the Apple App Store and Google Play in 2016 as the first mobile game connected to a custom keyboard, and features hundreds of collectible Emojis of beloved Disney, Pixar, and Star Wars characters. All month long players will have a chance to unlock exclusive Mickey and Friends Emojis, including Rainbow Mickey and Rose Gold Minnie. Throughout the week, players can participate in the 5th Birthday Clear Event and receive a free gift for logging in.
Disney Emoji Blitz continues to bring fun new Emojis and exciting in-game events to millions of players every single week. We’ve got an inside look at the two upcoming releases this year that are sure to be Blitz-tastic! Later this month, timed with the theatrical release of “Jungle Cruise,” lead characters Dr. Lily Houghton and Frank will make their debut as collectible Emojis. During the Jungle Cruise Survival Event (July 29 – August 1), players will take Frank’s boat down the Amazon River collecting items by using power-ups in each game round.
How to Play the Jungle
Cruise Survival Event:
- Items in Survival Events appear on the board and must be collected by hitting the item with a power-up. For the Jungle Cruise event, the items will be hero blossoms!
- If an item is not collected quick enough, the item destroys itself and the player loses one health on your game health bar. You can restore one health bar by clearing Emojis and triggering Blitz Mode!
- Survival Event game rounds have no time limit, so you have the chance to hit endless items and rack up points. The longer you survive, the harder the game gets! You must constantly be hitting the items on the board to keep a health bar full.
- Complete the event to collect either Dr. Lily Houghton or Frank Emojis!
Then, this Halloween, fans will find new in-game events and villain reveals from “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Hocus Pocus”! There will also be an exciting Mickey and Friends Emoji inspired by Disney Parks during Halloweentime… we can’t wait for you to see it!
