I scream, you scream, we all scream for…CHEMISTRY! (Oh, and ice cream, too!)
July 18 is National Ice Cream Day, and we’re excited to celebrate by exploring the delicious science behind some of our favorite Disney Parks sweet treats! Discover the freezing and melting points of ice cream, the volume of air in ice cream, and even why eating cold ice cream can cause a brain freeze!
Bonus knowledge – here’s a history fact for you! Since the opening of Disneyland Resort in 1955 and Walt Disney World Resort in 1971, two of our most popular ice cream treats, Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar and Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Sandwich, have evolved over the years. From re-designing the appearance into the iconic Mickey shape we have today, to introducing a blend of dark and rich milk chocolate, one fact remains true: these ice cream treats continue to capture and delight the taste buds of millions of guests nationwide.
