When most people plan a trip to Walt Disney World, they think about spending time riding rides and experiencing top notch attractions. Or maybe they dream of splashing around in one of the two water parks. There are so many options for the go getter theme park enthusiast!
After a day or two of hustle and bustle, it may be time for something a little different. Disney recognized this, so on May 20th, 1996, they gave guests a new option. They opened Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf course! That means that in 2021, the course is celebrating its 25-year anniversary! That’s a lot of magic!
This course truly has something for everyone! You putt your way through 18 holes and five different scenes, all themed around Walt Disney’s film, Fantasia. You will recognize many of the icons from the movie, including the dancing hippos and the marching broomsticks. Beware of the broomsticks though, they may have a surprise in store for you!
The Disney website describes it this way: “Resembling a traditional golf course built on a miniature scale, this course emphasizes skill over chance. Sand traps, bunkers, water hazards and sloping greens make the Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf Course an exciting challenge, where par-3 and par-5 holes range in length from 63 to 109 feet long.”
The course is conveniently located by the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, in the Epcot area, and the pricing as of this writing is $14.99 for an adult or $12.99 for a child ages 3-9.
