Once you enter Walt Disney Worlds Fort Wilderness Resort, you’re whisked away to a simpler time. This is one of my favorite places to eat on property, not just for the tasty food, but this restaurant has some of the most fun cast members on property that are sure to have you laughing between bites! This is one of the best ways to start your day before the parks.
The All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Breakfast Skillets.
While I am usually not a big breakfast eater in my everyday life, I always make an exception when I’m at Disney for Whispering Canyon. They specialize in All-you-care-to-enjoy skillets that are meant to be shared with those at your table (or just for yourself, we won’t judge). The Heritage Skillet is a guest favorite. It comes with house made buttermilk cheddar biscuits and their homemade sausage gravy, bacon, sausage, potatoes. This skillet also comes with Mickey waffles and scrambled eggs.There is also a Carnivore option with more meat like their brisket. There is also a lighter skillet with oatmeal, fruit an egg white fritta, and turkey bacon. At $22.00 per person, it is one of the more affordable all you care to enjoy options on property!
The fun atmosphere!
While the food is the highlight of the café, the cast members are a close second. When you dine here, you’re all family! The waitstaff with joke with you, laugh with (and at) you. I would be careful if you ask for sugar for your coffee, or a refill of your coke. You may get more than you ask for!
Whether you decide to make a reservation just for the food, you will fall in love with the homely, friendly, and funny experience that the cast members make sure you have, and if you make a reservation for the experience. You will fall in love with the food that reminds you of breakfast in the country. Though whatever brings you to Whispering Canyon Café, will always have you coming back!
