Many things symbolize the beginning of spring and warmer weather, blooming flowers and sunshine, but nothing symbolizes it more than the start of Epcot’s Flower and Garden festival! The beautiful topiaries of beloved Disney characters and the Florida sun certainty bring all of the looks and temperature of spring. Epcot also gives us the taste of spring at all of the booths that you find at each country.
What to try inside Epcot’s Festival Showplace
Since reopening, Epcot center has used this indoor space to host Fan Favorite booths from previous festivals, there are multiple booths from past and current festivals. One booth is the Cider house. This booth offers both food and alcohol options. I opted for the cider flight, which came with 3 Daughters Brewing Pink Lemonade Hard Cider, Bold Rock Watermelon Hard Cider, and Blakes Hard Cider Co. Triple Jam Hard Cider. Out of all three I have to say that the pink lemonade hard cider was my personal favorite. This cider is a taste of childhood nostalgic with an adult kick. While all three of these ciders were good, the Triple Jam is one for those that prefer a drier cider, though you can still taste the berries on the backend.
What to try around the World Showcase
By the time I got to the Japan Pavilion I needed something small, and the Hanami booth certainty did not Disappoint! I had the Shrimp and Crab, which on a humid April day, was a must welcome snack. This dish is served cold on top of Japanese cucumbers and, resembles a spicy crab salad.
When the sun was going down, I started winding down too. I stopped at Trowel&Trellis hosted by Impossible foods for the Grilled street corn This corn was so good with the garlic spread that you honestly forget there isn’t any butter on it, making it a food item that vegan guest can enjoy as well.
Everything I tried spoke spring to me, and the ingredients were so fresh and flavorful. If you are planning on visiting the Flower and Garden festival, I encourage you to try these booths for yourself!
