One of Walt Disney World’s premiere experiences at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has officially increased in price. Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers experience now costs $219, $20.00 more than when the offering first premiered at the Central Florida park at the land’s premiere in 2019.
For those not familiar with this experience, it takes place at Savi’s Workshop in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and allows travelers to Black Spire Outpost, under guidance, the ability to construct their very own lightsaber. The experience was an opening day attraction in the land that can also be found at Disneyland’s version of Galaxy’s Edge. Below is an image of the new price found on the official Walt Disney World website.
As part of the experience, guests are able to take the lightsaber home. However, it cannot be freely wielded around in the Disney Parks. Instead, it must be carried through Galaxy’s Edge and the rest of the park in a carrying case. For those who are used to Harry Potter land at the Universal theme parks, this lightsaber is not meant to interact with the land.
If you want to take on this experience, it’s worth noting that it has been slightly adjusted to incorporate physical distancing between parties, so space is limited.
Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers is incredibly popular and subject to availability. Advance reservations are highly recommended. A valid, accepted credit card number is required at the time of booking. Payment will be due upon arrival at the location. Same-day reservations are not available at this time, but walk-ins may be accommodated based on availability for the day. Separate Disney’s Hollywood Studios admission is required.
To make a reservation, please check availability on this page or with the My Disney Experience app. Reservations are nontransferable and may not be sold or bartered.
