Two months after leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a historic victory at their home stadium in Super Bowl LV and proudly declaring, “We’re going to Disney World!” alongside his teammate Rob Gronkowski, Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady got the chance to celebrate the big win Monday at Walt Disney World Resort.
Brady, who has starred in the iconic “I’m Going to Disney World!” commercial more times than any other NFL player, visited The Most Magical Place on Earth over the Easter weekend with family and friends, including breaking away from them for a few minutes Monday to explore Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The legendary quarterback journeyed to a galaxy far, far away, learning the ways of the Force and building his own lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop. Brady continued his adventure when he piloted the “fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy” on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and faced Kylo Ren and the First Order on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
Brady’s visit, which followed Gronkowski’s visit to Walt Disney World Resort the day after the Super Bowl in early February, marked another major milestone in the team’s post-Super Bowl celebration and closed the chapter on another popular “I’m Going to Disney World!’’ campaign, which has become an iconic element of the Super Bowl since 1987 when New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms first uttered the famous Disney line after his team’s Super Bowl win.
