MagicMobile Pass Menu Appears on My Disney Experience App

Announced less than two weeks ago, the MagicMobile Pass menu can now be seen in the My Disney Experience app. The new button in the app is only the beginning of the launch to the new service, which Disney says will be fully available starting later this year.

According to Disney, upon the premiere of the new service, guests will able to access entry to all four of the Walt Disney World theme parks through the power of their iPhone, Apple Watch, or other smart devices. Currently, guests are required to have a MagicBand or an admission ticket card to enter the four theme parks.

For those fearful of having to open the My Disney Experience app each time they want to enter the theme parks–fear not, as guests will also be able to add the MagicMobile pass to their phone’s digital wallet. Additionally, most features are said to be available just by holding up your smart phone near an access point, just like guests already do with a MagicBand.

Disney MagicMobile service and its features will roll out first on Apple devices.

Again, this service is not yet functional. Although, you can currently find its future location on the My Disney Experience App’s menu. Upon clicking on it, you will be prompted with “Quick Pass Tips.”

Some of these include “Express Mode,” which can be used by tapping your phone near touch points–with no need to unlock your device. If you have multiple people in your party, you can double click or hold your finger on the home button to open your Apple Wallet. Then, swipe to their pass to redeem.

Will you be utilizing the Disney MagicMobile Pass on your future visits to the park when the service finally becomes available later this year? Let us know in the comments!
