WDW Makes Update to Face Mask Policy for Dining

February 27, 2021 ,

As most know, Walt Disney World has been pretty  vigilant when it comes to enforcing their face mask policy. Guests 2 and older must wear a face mask at all times, no exceptions. Previously you could take off your face mask when you sat down to eat at a walk up or inside a restaurant. That apparently has changed. According to the My Disney Experience App, now guests can only take off their masks while actively eating and drinking. You cannot take the mask off once you’re at your table any longer. Here’s a screenshot from MDE-

I had wondered if this was coming, because at Magic Kingdom two weeks ago, I had this happen while drinking a Starbucks coffee. A CM asked me to put my mask on between sips, which previously didn’t happen.
