There is nothing quite so special as giving a gift we have made for a loved one during this magical season, especially when it is inspired by Mickey Mouse. This week Maggie Tompkins, of Jet Plane Mommy, is showing us how to make festive Mickey and Minnie mason jar ornaments. Practically perfect for hanging on your tree or to give as a present!
With only a few supplies needed, even your little elves can assist in creating these jars. Gather up your colored stock paper, glue gun, scissors, pencil, ruler, and of course your mason jars to create holiday joy for others. Want to make a Minnie jar? Be sure and purchase some tiny bows, or make your own! For complete directions, simply download the easy step-by-step directions.
Maggie is a part-time flight attendant who enjoys sharing the magic of Disney with her daughters, Madison and Maya. When she is not flying, she can be found baking Disney inspired cookies with her girls and making Disney gifts. We think she hit the snowball out of the park with this DIY idea.
One of our favorite parts of this jar is you can fill it with your favorite holiday sweets! So, if visions of chocolate, peppermint, and marshmallows are dancing in your head as possible fillers, be sure to share what you create and use the hashtags #DisneyMagicMoments and #DisneyHolidayMoments. Check back for more of these #DisneyCreators at Home stories on our “Everything Holidays” section on the Disney Parks Blog.
