We just got word that some beloved attractions are closing permanently at Walt Disney World. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Primeval Whirl is going away. That ride has had mechanical issues over the years but still was one that guests would frequent. On a more shocking note, the newer evening show Rivers of Light is retiring. This beautiful show has only been around for a couple of years and the music was amazing. I’m sad about that one.
In a not surprising move, we were informed that Stitch’s Great Escape is also permanently closing. That area has been periodically used for meet and greets so we knew this was coming.
There have been talks of a new show coming in at Animal Kingdom to replace Rivers of Light but we have no confirmation on that. Stay tuned for more updates as we hear them.
