Yesterday afternoon we went over to Epcot for a preview of the food and wine festival before the park officially opened today. The first thing that I noticed when we walked into the park is that the walls were down and the whole area had been redone. Instead of one large area for flowers there are actually a few! It looks pretty!
Wait times for attractions were pretty much nonexistent. For example we were able to walk right onto Soarin’ and Living With the Land. Even Frozen Ever After only had a short wait. Also, ride queues have plexiglass dividers for safety.
Back in World Showcase, festival booths are scattered all around in the various countries and in between. The menus are a little bit smaller this year but the entire festival has been reduced due to safety restrictions. Take a look at some of what they have to offer.
The theme for the festival this year is Ratatouille! The signs and decorations feature characters from the movie.
Another fun feature they are doing is character cavalcades around the countries. As soon as we were walking towards World Showcase, we saw Disney princesses coming straight towards us! So fun, you can watch the video below!
As far as merchandise goes, you can still find goodies from the Flower and Garden Festival. Spirit jerseys, mugs, lawn decor and even Orange Bird souvenirs!
As with the other parks, Epcot also has relaxation stations for guests to take a break and take their masks off. You will also find hand sanitation stations all across the park so it’s easy to keep yourself and your family feeling safer. I also brought my own sanitizer with me. All in all it was great to be back at Epcot. Disney is doing a great job with guest safety and I’m looking forward to going back again soon!
