Universal Studios Orlando has been closed since March due to safety measures from Covid-19. Starting today, annual passholders at Universal were given a pre-scheduled preview of the reopening of the parks. Main Streeter and friend of mine, Tati Perez, has been on the scene today and shared some photos with us. Signs are in place to remind park goers of the new safety rules, which include face masks and social distancing. There is also a mobile ordering system to order food.
There are also markers on the ground in various locations to remind people to stay six feet apart, plus a virtual queue for attractions. I’m also hearing that you can take pictures of the characters that are out, just not with them.
Overall, Tati said that Universal Orlando is doing a great job so far, she’s very impressed with how they’re handling the preview and taking care of guests. CityWalk has been open for a couple of weeks now, but Universal Parks reopen to the public on June 5th. This is all positive news and great to hear. A huge thank you to Tati for giving us the scoop from the scene! Stay tuned for more updates as we see them, this is just the beginning of things coming back to life here in Central Florida!
