This morning, the Walt Disney World Resort submitted plans to their County in Florida, plans on how they’d like to go about reopening. As you know, the parks and resorts have been closed since March due to Covid-19. Here’s the rundown of what Disney is proposing to do-
Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom open July 11
Hollywood Studios and Epcot open July 15
Extra safety measures-
Face coverings, hand washing & sanitization stations. Physical barriers where needed
Physical distancing
Temperature checks and health screenings at main entry of theme parks
Limited contact enhancement – contactless payments
Temporary suspended- parades, fireworks and anything that creates crowds.
Meet and greets and water areas suspended temporarily
Reservations to enter the parks
Extra signage and training for Cast Members
These plans need to be approved by the Governor before put into place, but this is the current proposal from Disney.
This is a developing story, stay tuned for more updates as we get them!
