Florida’s Governor just made some announcements regarding the slow reopening of the sunshine state. Here is what we know pertaining to the theme park area and entertainment-
Some limitations will be lifted beginning May 4th.
Florida to begin Phase 1 –
Restaurants may open outdoor seating and 25% capacity indoors maintaining distancing. No capacity was given on outdoor seating, but tables must be six feet apart.
Retail Locations may operate at 25% of indoor capacity. No bars opening as of yet. (No gyms or salons)
Vulnerable individuals should avoid contact with people outside the home.
Avoid socializing in groups of more than 10 people in circumstances that don’t allow for regular social distancing.
Wear masks in face to face instances where social distancing is difficult.
Phase one is open ended, no end date given.
Government DeSantis said that we are moving forward cautiously, hoping to get safely to Phase 2 soon. Looking at weeks not months.
As for the theme parks, we are still waiting to see what will happen as Disney has not made any official statement as of yet!
It’s a slow start but it’s a bit of progress. Please stay tuned for more updates as we hear. Stay safe everyone.
