Happy Wednesday Main Streeters! It’s time for our weekly chat and this week we are talking Disney Villains… and Valentines! Let’s go!
Last Friday night was the media event for this year’s Villains After Hours at the Magic Kingdom. I remember last summer when we got to cover this new event we had a good time so I was excited to see what was new for this year. We got to the Contemporary Resort for the media preview and I immediately started looking for the new merchandise and snacks. I needed pics of course, it all was pretty great!
Another fun part of this event was that some of us got to get a villain makeover. Disney offers makeovers for adults at Character Couture located at four different resorts and I got to get a little sample of what they do. Because I had a shirt to match, I was given a Maleficent makeover! I had so much fun with that! Afterwards it was time to head to the party.
Villains After Hours itself was really a great time. They added an extra little parade plus ice cream and popcorn to the party. I will post videos below so you can see what this event has to offer. We really enjoyed it.
On Saturday after we rested up a little from the night before, we took the boys over to Universal Studios to walk around. Honestly, we decided to cancel our annual passes to Universal for now. We just don’t get enough out of it and prefer Disney so we are going to take a break. On Sunday we went over to Hollywood Studios because the new sign for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway was up and I was excited to see it. Scott and I are going to be at the media event for this new attraction before it opens to the public on March 4th. I seriously can’t wait!
Tomorrow is my birthday and it’s also Villaintine’s Day at the Contemporary Resort! That just means they have special desserts to offer. As for me and how I am going to spend my birthday, my family always keeps it a surprise but I am guessing we will be going to Disney. I’ll tell you all about it next week. Oh and it’s also Valentine’s Day on Friday and Disney will have extra treats and such around if you’re going to be on property. Of course they have extra cupcakes because every Disney holiday is celebrated with one! On that note, that’s it for this week. Thanks for checking in with us and following along, I appreciate it. Until next time, sending you love, blessings and pixie dust! Happy Valentines Day! See ya real soon! – M
