Sharing in the Spirit of the Season

It’s our favorite time of year here at Walt Disney World Resort—the weather outside is delightful, the seasonal decorations merry, and our VoluntEARS continue to make a big holiday difference for our Central Florida neighbors who need it most.

All season long, our Disney VoluntEARs came together in support of our local community, demonstrating how we can team up and unite together to make an even bigger difference in the lives of others. In fact, in November and December alone, our Disney VoluntEARS have spent nearly 18,000 hours volunteering in the community—that’s an average of 295 hours a day!

In addition to their outreach efforts, our VoluntEARs bring a smile, enthusiasm, passion and caring spirit to each and every local nonprofit organization they visit. This holiday season, Disney chefs served traditional Thanksgiving meals at the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, Cast Members from across property came together to donate nearly 30,000 gifts to the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots drive, Disney VoluntEARS supported the holiday performances of local arts organizations and even decorated local nonprofit organizations for the holidays—just to name a few!

Take a look at some of these special moments and the teamwork of our Disney VoluntEARs below:

I hope this dose of “Feel Good” leaves you smiling through the holidays… and remember, together we can make a big difference for our local communities. Every moment spent serving others, no matter how small, makes a big difference!
