Happy Wednesday Main Streeters! I hope you’re all doing well and getting yourselves prepared for the holidays! That’s about where I am, Christmas mode! But first… media events galore! Let’s chat!
This year has been very busy when it comes to covering events for Disney. Just in the last couple of weeks they have kept us busy with peeks at what’s coming to the parks plus of course the opening of Rise of the Resistance at Hollywood Studios. If you didn’t catch my review of this new attraction, let me just say…. it’s outstanding. So well done. I also got a look at the new Ratatouille ride being built over at Epcot. It’s so impressive, I can’t wait for it to open next summer. Also impressive, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway which debuts on March 4th. Oh gosh and TRON over at Magic Kingdom! There’s so much to look forward to across the various Disney parks, I’m beyond excited for it all. I’m so fortunate and thankful to be able to cover these events. 2019 has been a whirlwind on the work front, my Disney reps have kept us busy. Busy is good!
The past month has been crazy with work but I really felt the need to get some time in with my family too. We took the boys to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, which was fun. We all really love the new fireworks they have this year. I of course made them pose for photopass pics, because that’s become our time to get Christmas photos with all of us. You take what you can get with teenagers! We really did have a great time, I‘m glad we went. Last Saturday the kids wanted to see the Christmas fun at Universal Orlando so we ventured over. They do great things for the holidays too, like the Macy’s parade. We don’t get to Universal often but we had a great time.
One important thing that happened last week is that my new children’s book was released! “How Many Sleeps Till Disneyland?” is a follow up to the WDW version we did last Christmas. Both are a countdown book for little ones to get excited about upcoming Disney vacations. As a lot of you know, these books are special to us because the main character is named after a baby that we lost. These books are our way of keeping her present and on Disney adventures with us. The outpouring of love and support from our friends and family are always a blessing. It truly puts things into perspective and we are grateful for every single word, share and gesture. Thank you, we appreciate it more than we can say. All three of my books are available on Amazon now, with more to come in 2020 so stay tuned for that!
We are in the final stages of Christmas preparations and I’m not sure if I’m quite ready yet. I had my radio segment this morning, a media event for The Rise of Skywalker tomorrow, then we are getting ready to leave for Michigan. Seeing my family and friends for Christmas is something that I always look forward to. It gives me the recharge that I need to start the next year off right. I can’t wait to see everyone…. plus spoil my precious nephew a bit too.
Well, that’s it for this evening. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the support that you have given TMSM this year. I fully know that we couldn’t do any of this without you. From my family to yours, we hope you have a very Merry Christmas! Until next time… Happy Holidays Everyone! See ya real soon! -M
