It’s that time of year when we slowly start putting away our summer decor and pulling out pumpkins in hopes of feeling a fall chill in the air. Growing up in Ohio my fall consisted of changing leaves, apple picking, and carving pumpkins. Since moving to Florida, I’ve had to adjust how I celebrate the arrival of this festive season—but that’s okay, because I can still enjoy my favorite holiday in the most spooktacular way because no one does Halloween better than Disney!
On September 1, all my decor went up and I love adding little additions to my collection each year. Halloween merchandise has been out for a few weeks at Disney Springs and I’m obsessed! If you haven’t stopped by World of Disney yet, you NEED to—there’s a giant pumpkin Mickey Mouse near the entrance by Amorette’s Patisserie and it makes for a very cute photo opportunity. My other Halloween destination? It might take you by surprise but it’s Disney’s Days of Christmas. In addition to year-round Christmas finds, this store also has many of our seasonal merchandise collections including a brand-new offering—Halloween themed customization!
For the first time, our talented artists inside Disney’s Days of Christmas will be whipping up frightening but fun designs on ornaments, home decor, and more. New art options include small illustrations such as bats, spider webs, candy, pumpkins, and a themed Minnie Mouse bow and Mickey Mouse ear hat.
I always love the tradition of buying a new ornament for your tree to commemorate a memory and we have a few wicked options. I spotted a few iconic characters from the Haunted Mansion, “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas,” and of course, our Disney Villains.
Enjoy a spooky glow with a touch of magic at home with these ceramic votive candle holders or create a spirited Halloween spread at home with a collection of snow globes and candy dishes.
Got a few trick-or-treaters in the family? Here’s a pro-tip from our artists—personalize a trick-or-treat basket with each kid’s name and there’ll be no question about whose candy is whose!
You’ll find some of these items pre-personalized in the store if you’re in a hurry or if you’re looking for something different, I recommend chatting with a Cast Member to see other customization options available. Pricing starts at $3 per word and/or artwork element.
