Two words: Costume. Contest. If you’ve ever sailed with us during the Halloween season, you know that Disney cruisers take our costume celebrations very seriously. The attire that families don for the festive parties are truly impressive!
So why should you start prepping now for your Halloween on the High Seas cruise this fall? Because you’ll want to dress to impress! Not only will there be plenty of opportunities to wear your creative outfit to family celebrations throughout the cruise, you can earn all the bragging rights if you win the “Halloween Isn’t Just for Kids” adult-only costume contest. But be prepared that you’ll have some serious competition!
Of course the fun doesn’t stop there. Children and families will shiver in delight during “Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party,” a scare-a-bration alive with ghoulish games, trick-or-treating, dancing and some favorite Disney Pals bedecked in Halloween attire. Thrills and chills await you at “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing and Scream,” an interactive movie experience followed by a meet-and-greet with Jack and Sally.
Other frightfully fun activities include mask-making, pumpkin-carving and an eerie campfire-style storytelling experience on deck, “Haunted Stories of the Sea.” Plus, there’s the spooky Pumpkin Tree that magically comes to life throughout your cruise. During every sailing, the tree magically transforms from eerie and barren into the life of the party, with sprouting Jack-O-Lanterns, flickering lights and a booming voice. The Pumpkin Tree is tended to by a mysterious caretaker, who tells stories of the haunted holiday as guests gather in the ghostly shadow of the tree.
It’s not too late to join us for Halloween on the High Seas this fall. Options include Bahamian and Caribbean sailings from Port Canaveral, Florida, a variety of cruise lengths from San Diego to the Mexican Riviera, and cruises from New York to Bermuda, The Bahamas or Canada. Check out all of the options , and then start planning your epic costume!
