You are in Disney and the clock strikes 12 (no not midnight) and you realize that you are hungry. You don’t have a reservation and it’s too late to walk up because you have little ones and they are starting to get “hangry”. What do you do? Quick Serve! I know what you are thinking, “I don’t want a burger or chicken fingers.” Well don’t worry, you’re in Disney after all! The quick service restaurants are not all just the typical park food; there are some really great options! Here are my top 5 quick service restaurants in each park and Disney Springs.
- Earl of Sandwich –Disney Springs
This is my favorite place in Disney Springs! It is tucked away near the Christmas store towards the far end of Disney Springs and has so many options. Disney Springs has many restaurants and yes, most take walk-ups, but sometimes the wait is long and with little ones even 30 minutes can seem like an eternity. This establishment has its signature “Holiday Turkey Sandwich”, my personal favorite, but they have a huge menu from soup to salad to yummy deserts! It is moderate in price and has healthy options if you are trying to watch your waistline while in the parks. Alternatively, maybe you’re just saving your calories for a dole whip or Ghirardelli ice cream.
- ABC Commissary- Hollywood Studios
This quick serve option is located in Hollywood Studios to the left of the Chinese theater. It is very large and they just did some adjustments to the menu so there are new options here. They do have burgers and chicken fingers but they also have some other choices. Ribs, a fish platter, and my personal favorite, the Mediterranean salad with chicken. I love this quick serve because its inside, its spacious, and the staff try to keep the line flowing at a decent rate. We have eaten here as a family for lunch and dinner and my little one loves it. It is our go to in Hollywood Studios more often than not.
- Pizzafari-Animal Kingdom
Who doesn’t love pizza? If you are like me, you will love this quick serve in Animal Kingdom. Located at the front of the park heading towards Pandora, this massive restaurant has become a recent favorite. I am in love with their flatbread and it’s huge! You can easily split it with another person depending on how hungry you are. The decor in this restaurant are fantastic and its massive size make finding a seat easier than in some of the other restaurants that are smaller. The menu is typical of a pizza restaurant and does have a Caesar salad on the menu; you can get the dressing on the side if you ask!
- Columbia Harbor House- Magic Kingdom
I grew up in New England, so I love fish! I know it’s not everyone’s favorite, but at Columbia Harbor, there are other items on the menu too! I probably go here most of the times that I visit Magic Kingdom. My daughter likes the macaroni and cheese and I love the tuna fish sandwich. They have a yummy salad, burgers, fried seafood, and a chicken potpie too! The views you can get from the upstairs seating are nice as well. Columbia Harbor House is located across from Haunted Mansion and is a great option if you want a great meal while in Magic Kingdom without a reservation.
- Sunshine Seasons- Epcot
Epcot is my favorite park. I love it so it’s no surprise that my number one restaurant is here, at Sunshine Seasons. Located in the land pavilion Sunshine Seasons has a huge menu. It reminds me of the food court at some of the moderate or value resorts where there are different stations for different types of cuisine. They have some great options and it does change from time to time. They have the rotisserie chicken, Mongolian beef, pizza, salads, and breakfast items too! I love it here and when we are in Epcot, we go here quite a bit. I love a restaurant with a variety especially if I am hungry and don’t know what I’m in the mood for, seeing some of the choices usually helps me pick what I want!
That’s my top five! What are your favorite quick serve restaurants around the world?
