The 2019 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is officially in full swing! Or should I say full bloom? Yesterday was opening day, and we arrived at Epcot in the morning to what was a larger than normal crowd. Usually that first morning isn’t extremely crowded, it’s more so busy on the first full weekend. Well, not this year. The park was absolutely packed, there were long lines to get into the parking lot, through security, etc! Crowds aside, Epcot sure looked beautiful from the moment we got into the park!
The butterfly topiaries that are usually near the middle of the park, were front and center as you walked in. Coincidentally, there are butterflies on this years Dooney and Bourke festival bags. Maybe a theme? Speaking of merchandise…. oh my goodness. As I previously reported, there are two spirit jerseys, a line themed in the violet lemonade, a flower fanny pack, and more!
Don’t forget, if you’re an Annual PassHolder, you can pick up your free magnet at MouseGear!
As you wander around the park, you’ll see all the beautiful flower displays and topiaries. This is our fifth year that we’ve attended the Flower and Garden Festival, and I’ve noticed that some of the topiaries are in new locations this time. Everything looks absolutely gorgeous! Take a peek!
There are also four new outdoor kitchens this year. One of these new locations, has the coveted Orange Bird sipper! If you walk towards the right once you enter World Showcase, you’ll find the Citrus Blossom food kitchen, and probably a long line. There you will find the Orange Bird for $14.00! The fan favorite violet lemonade is also back this year of course! There is a lot of delicious food around World Showcase as well!
The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival runs now through June 3rd, and is free with admission to the park. It’s a perfect time to visit Epcot, and I hope you get to enjoy the beautiful festivities this year!
