Hello there everyone! I’m back! Did you notice that there was no Florida Living blog last Wednesday night? I think it’s literally the first one I’ve ever skipped, but I did have a really good reason for it. I was on a media cruise aboard the Disney Magic for Marvel Day at Sea and more! Lets talk about it, I have so much to tell you!
When we were asked to do another media cruise I was absolutely thrilled and so thankful. This particular cruise was super exciting because they had Marvel AND Tangled represented. Perfect for my family! We drove to Miami the night before, so that we were on time for boarding the next morning. There really is nothing like doing a Disney Cruise. The ship was beautiful, the service and entertainment is top notch, and the food is fantastic! Speaking of food… we hit the buffet for lunch once we got on board. Everything was great! My kids went for the Oreo cheesecake, so they were starting the week off right. Before we knew it, we were meeting with our Disney reps then at the sail away party on the upper deck! The first sit down dinner of the trip was at Rapunzel’s Royal Table, and I was prepared! I brought an outfit for the occasion and was so excited to go. The atmosphere was magical, the entertainment was fantastic and so was the food. What a way to start our trip!
The next day we were at sea and got to relax. Our first stop was Grand Cayman, so we were sure to go check out the island since we’d never been there before. The Disney Magic has a Pirate night, which is fun, but the main attraction for the week was Marvel Day at Sea! There were character meet and greets, various activities, shows and more. The show they did in the evening was unlike anything we had ever seen. The special effects in the Marvel show were really impressive, and I’m so glad that we got to see it. I posted video below so you can see for yourselves! They boys and Scott really enjoyed all the Marvel fun, as much as I loved the Tangled dinner and show! We all were happy!
Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, was another high point of the week. The sun was out and the beaches are beautiful, the boys actually went for a bike ride and we all had lunch at the walk up barbecue place. Yes more food! Castaway Cay is absolutely gorgeous, a definite must do for Disney fans! I could have stayed there an extra day, but of course all good things come to an end!
Our magical getaway went by so fast. Disney kept us busy, we met our reps every morning at 8am, then had things to do throughout the day. We had a great time and I’m SO thankful to Disney for these amazing opportunities! I was back at it this morning. First I had my radio segment then headed directly to Epcot for the media preview of Epcot’s Festival of the Arts. That starts on Friday. There are more activities starting on Friday for Mickey and Minnie’s 90th birthday, so stay tuned for coverage of that as well. Always busy, but it’s a good thing! Thank you all for following along on our adventures each week, I really appreciate it more than you know. Until next time, sending you love, blessings and pixie dust! See ya real soon! -M
