TMSM’s Adventures in Florida Living ~ Merry Christmas!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!  Can you believe that Christmas is next week already? For some reason, the Christmas season went by so much faster than Halloween did at Disney. Well, I suppose it’s because they do Halloween for a longer span of time, but regardless, it’s all been a blur. I love Christmas time, I’ve had my tree up since the first week of November… and now it’s almost here. Crazy.

This past week we’ve been playing catch up of course, but I’m sure you expected that.  On Friday, we went to the ribbon cutting ceremony at Disney Springs for the Kingdom Hearts III Experience. It’s where guests can play a 15 minute demo for the much anticipated game, and will be there through January. Pretty cool. Now back to Christmas… Every time we’ve gone to a Disney park this season, it’s been for work, not family time per say.  On Saturday, we had media seats waiting at the Candlelight Processional at Epcot, but I came up with the idea of getting in some Magic Kingdom time as well.  We never park hop, but on Saturday we did.  In the afternoon, we went to have lunch at Cosmic Rays with our friends Joe and Chrissy (and their baby) who were still in town. I love the Magic Kingdom at Christmas time, plus we got in some additional time with our friends, so it was a win/win! The tickets for the Candlelight Processional were for the 8:15 show, so as it got a little later, we left the Magic Kingdom and took the monorail over to Epcot to check in.  I have to be honest, I have never sat down and watched the Candlelight Processional.  Yes, I’ve watched from the back, but never had a close up seat.  We had seats right next to the conductor, and Gary Sinise was the narrator.  It was beautiful, I loved it.  It this doesn’t put you in a Christmas mood, nothing will.  It’s amazing.  At the end of the show, Gary Sinise talked about the work he does with military vets, and he got a standing ovation.  In turn, he asked for servicemen and first responders to stand so that they could get the applause that they deserved as well.  It was quite a special thing to witness.  I’ll post the video below so you can see for yourself! Just awesome.

Once we left Epcot, we took the monorail back over to the Magic Kingdom. We had a FastPass for the Haunted Mansion, plus I wanted to get another look at the castle, all lit up with those beautiful lights. I love it. We met Joe and Chrissy again, and we all went up by the front of the castle for pics and to chat. I seriously could have sat in front of that castle for hours. Pictures don’t do it justice when it’s all lit up, it’s truly an amazing thing to see. I did a live feed while we were there, because I wanted to be able to share the magic of what I was seeing with our followers. Everyone deserves that little bit of extra Christmas cheer, so I tried to deliver it. Joe and I were talking about the Christmas decor and castle lights. We were in agreement that it’s something that you never tire of, and that’s how we know that we’re true Disney nuts. I always tell people that Disney is in my soul, and I truly meet that. Lucky for me, through TMSM, I’ve met so many people who get me. People who agree with that love of all things Disney. That in itself is Disney magic if you ask me. So yes, we got in a little bit of time with our friends, and were able to see those beautiful decorations once more before Christmas. It was a great evening for sure.

The past couple of days, we’ve been trying to get ready for Christmas, and tie up loose ends before the holiday. Our live show on Monday night was the LAST one for the year! I have to say, it was a great show, and we really appreciate all of your support on that new project. TMSM Weekly Live has become something that people love, and we really enjoy doing it. I’ll post the link below so you can watch it, it’s a good one! We will be back live after the holidays and a work trip. This year has been a roller coaster, and has gone so by so fast. I’m so thankful for the love and support that you’ve given us, it means more than I could ever tell you. So on that note… that’s it for this week. From my family to yours, I wish you all a blessed and Merry Christmas! See ya real soon! ~M
