Holiday Decor at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

This past weekend we hopped on the monorail to visit some of the resorts and check out the holiday decor.  Sometimes people are looking for something cheap and fun to do while visiting Walt Disney World.  Visiting the resorts to see the holiday decor is a top on my family’s list.  Yes we are local, but when family comes to visit and they aren’t quite into the parks as much as we are, visiting the resorts to see the holiday decor is always a fan favorite.  This past weekend, we just needed a break from the parks and wanted to do something different, so we decided to visit a bunch of resorts.  We started at the Wilderness Lodge and then took a short boat ride over to the Contemporary Resort.

Something that’s different about the Contemporary compared to other resorts is their grand tree is outside in front of the resort.  So if you are coming in by boat and entering from the back of the resort, you may miss it.  You can see it from the monorail though.  It’s really pretty.

The Contemporary Resort is known for their Gingerbread display during the holidays.  This year the display features Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the Fairy God Mother.  It is so cute and smells delicious.  It even has Cinderella’s glass slipper on display!

Check out all the ingredients that are involved in making this display.  It’s incredible.  How fun would this be to make this?

Throughout the resort there are beautiful holiday touches.  Christmas trees, garland, and wreaths are spotted on all levels of the resort.  They even had a special snack booth set up for holiday treats.

While visiting the resort, make sure you step outside and check out the views.  The Contemporary resort sits the closest to Magic Kingdom and provides some pretty amazing views.  So what are you waiting for, hop on the monorail and go check out the holiday decor at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.  Happy Holidays!
