It’s no secret that I love the holidays. And I love dressing up. Anytime I can combine two of my favorite things into one amazing outing, I’m all in! This month, there are two fantastic ways to enjoy the season’s biggest trends:
Trend #1: “Ugly” Christmas Sweaters. While the trend has technically been around for years, those in-the-know are now intentionally seeking out over-the-top outerwear to help usher in the holidays. When in doubt, brighter, bolder and louder is always better! Want to show off yours? Join the crew at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ from 10 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, December 1 for a down-home celebration of ugly holiday sweaters! Wear your best “ugly” holiday sweater and enjoy festive beverages and bites. Plus, all month long, guests who dine at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ or Splitsville Luxury Lanes in a Disney-themed “ugly” Christmas sweater receive a complimentary dessert* – a single layer slice of Chef Art’s signature hummingbird cake or a brownie dessert with whipped cream, respectively; both include festive green and red sprinkles. (*Purchase of entrée or appetizer required; one per person.)
Trend #2: Matching holiday PJs for the whole family. Think you’ll only wear them on Christmas morning and maybe for a photo or two? Think again! All month long, guests are invited to wear their holiday pajamas to the Maria & Enzo’s Holiday Brunch. Every Sunday through December 30, 2018, groups who wear matching holiday PJs will receive a free commemorative photo. Need another incentive? Kids age nine and under eat free. Of course, if you’re all dolled up, you should absolutely carve out time to visit the Disney PhotoPass Studio while you’re at Disney Springs. Last year, my family got our holiday photos taken there and we returned last weekend to continue the tradition. (We’ve all agreed that we’re going to make it an annual event!) With fun props, virtual backgrounds and a ready-to-go team of amazing Disney PhotoPass Photographers – Josh, our photographer, even managed to keep my year and a half year old entertained – all you have to do is show up and smile. The photos are included with any active Memory Maker package or a Memory Maker One Day entitlement, which is available for $69.
While I’m sharing details on some of the most festively fun ways to enjoy the season with your family, I’m delighted to share that T-Rex will once again be offering Breakfast with Santa on select dates in December. For $32 ($20.50 for kids age 4-9; children 3 and under are free), guests can meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus, enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet and get early access to World of Disney store and T-Rex Dino Store from 9 – 10 a.m. on the day of their breakfast. Of course, ugly sweaters and holiday pajamas are welcome here, too! Click here for more info and details on booking a reservation.
Which holiday trend are you most excited about this year? Whether it’s crazy knits or cozy jammies, you can find both at World of Disney, while supplies last. I’d love to see your most festive holiday looks tied to these tinsel-worthy trends – share your photos on social media using hashtag “#DisneySprings” for your chance to be featured on our @DisneySprings Instagram or Twitter handles. ‘Tis the season!!!
