We’re days away from Thanksgiving and the weather is (finally) starting to cool down – cue the holidays at Disney Springs! This year, there’s even more fun in store … from a limited-time MAC Cosmetics extravaganza to a larger-than-ever Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail, there’s something for everyone. Check out some of the now-happening highlights below:
MAC Shiny Pretty Things: Step into a world of kaleidoscope color now through November 25 as MAC Cosmetics celebrates the launch of their newest collection featuring metallic colors to illuminate your sparkle. The Disney Springs event is their largest event of the year! Enjoy an over-the-top stage show and a complimentary make-up application with top MAC artists. The fun takes place daily from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. with intermittent performances from 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Waterview Park, located next to Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. Walk-ups are welcome and appointments can be made in advance at events.maccosmetics.com. Having seen an early preview of the show, I can attest that you’ll be impressed! Click here to learn more.
The Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail: With over 25 custom-decorated trees inspired by beloved Disney classics, this is a winter wonderland you won’t want to miss. Falling snow, holiday music and new food and beverage offerings available for purchase – including frozen hot chocolate and specialty cotton candy – make the experience even more magical. Five new trees have been added this season, so if you’re a fan of “Toy Story,” Haunted Mansion, Star Wars, Disney Springs or the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks, you’ll be delighted with the additions. (All the trees are simply incredible, but the new Haunted Mansion-inspired tree? Wow!) Come with a fully charged camera or smart phone because chances are, you’ll want to snap a lot of photos! The Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail is located in the Marketplace across from Once Upon a Toy and is open daily through January 6 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Santa’s Chalet: The jolly old elf himself is back at Disney Springs. You can meet him daily through December 24 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Santa’s Chalet, located within the Disney Springs Tree Trail. Just like last year, you’ll be able to check in at the podium, provide your mobile number to one of Santa’s helpers, and get a text message when it’s your turn to take your place in line. Of course, Disney PhotoPass photographers will be on hand to capture the moment (and yes, the photos are included in any active Memory Maker packages) but Santa will happily smile for selfies, too!
Spectacular Holiday Shopping: Rivaling Santa’s workshop, the newly reimagined Word of Disney store is a gift-givers’ dream-come-true. Find gifts galore for everyone on your list, with finds ranging from new Mickey Mouse Club apparel and accessories to an entire line of holiday-inspired surprises that give a playful nod to some of your favorite Disney characters. Get in on the latest holiday trends with matching family PJs and classic “ugly” sweaters, all with a Disney twist. With Black Friday quickly approaching, get ready for new product releases that include a new princess wardrobe dress set complete with accessories and four princess-perfect costumes (November 22; World of Disney store), the debut of the Disney Dogs Dooney & Bourke Collection, with a matching dress from The Dress Shop at Cherry Tree Lane (November 23; Marketplace Co-Op), and an Alex and Ani Rose Gold Filigree Bracelet (November 24; Ever After Jewelry Co. & Accessories). Many stores open as early as 8 a.m. on Black Friday; be sure to pick up a Disney Springs Black Friday Holiday Shopping Guide all weekend long for additional details on special offers and product launches.
Need some fuel for your day of festive fun? Starting on Black Friday and through January 1, 2019, D-Luxe Burger will be serving breakfast daily from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. With breakfast sandwiches and burgers, crispy chicken biscuit, egg white frittata sandwich, Greek yogurt parfait and more on the menu, it’s the perfect excuse to get an early start. Coffee, juices and shakes will also be offered, as will their fresh cut fries.
With special décor and entertainment throughout property, fun activations like Stitch’s Holiday Gift Hunt, and some seriously yummy seasonal treats, the holidays are my favorite time of year at Disney Springs! Visit soon to enjoy new traditions with the ones you love most and I think you’ll agree that Disney Springs is the place to be.
Happy holidays, everyone!!!
